OWUs future alumni are now in our midst as students. One widely shared misperception is that if you are not on any form of aid, your tuition payments fully cover the costs. We're hoping to myth BUST that one with Tuition Free Forward day...in early February. On that day, campus-wide activities--all targeted to students--will mark that as the day gifts from alumni, parents and friends pick up where tuition leaves off.

It is in the mail...too many times?
"How many mailings do you send out each year?"--This question always comes up whenever university advancement people meet. Last night, for the fourth time in a few weeks, I received a LANDS END catalog and considered ordering something. With the first distraction, I decided to wait until the NEXT catalog comes. Is that what our direct mail recipients think? Does putting off the action part lead to putting off a contribution again and again? Is it possible to send out too many mailings?

Truly a fresh start...every year
Annual Giving campaigns have a distinct start and a very distinctive finish...the books roll back to zero! Truly a fresh start is required.
